According to our Weird Holidays and Observances calendar, today, September 9, is Wonderful Weirdos Day.
Since it’s also Friday, which we like to celebrate as Freaky Friday and/or Friday Fun whenever possible, we thought we’d have some fun sharing a few of the weirdest images we’ve come across from a couple of our favorite free image sites. (Namely, Pixabay and Morguefile.)
Ok, for starters, we think this month’s Caption This contest photo is pretty weird.
It’s not everyday you see a T-Rex in your rear view mirror. (At least we don’t. Maybe you do. And if you do, we’d suggest getting your eyes, or maybe even your brain, checked.)

While we’re on the topic of Caption This contest photos, we also thought this one from last month’s contest was pretty weird.
We’d hoped more people would get a kick out of it, but either people were too busy with end of summer/back to school stuff, or it just didn’t entice a lot of muses.
We did get several great entries though. The one we picked as the winner was: “Put this in yer pipe , Sir Isaac Newton!” It gave us a good chuckle.
Sticking with levitation/floating people weird images for just a moment longer, this one from Morguefile tickled us.
We’re not sure how people are creating these types of images, but we’ve come across several. New app or Photoshop technique? (Or maybe these sorts of images have been on the scene for a while and we’re just now discovering them.)
Okay, so for the next two we’re moving away from lighthearted into a darker, more macabre realm of weird photos…
How’s that for a mind-blowing image? Weird? Yes. And a bit creepy. But oh so cool! Really makes you think about what lies beneath…
Speaking of things lurking in the background, is that a hand I see wrapped around your eyeball?
Okay, so hopefully not your eyeball, but whoa. Talk about a totally surreal image. Like a living nightmare. Oh my.
But what an effect, right? And super weird. Which made it a perfect pick to celebrate today with!
