Last night –and then again this morning– I held the drawing for the winners of the Haunted Magazine and American Hauntings Teas Power of 3 giveaway.
“Why today too?” you may be wondering.
Have I ever told you my nickname is “Whoopsie”? I come by it honestly. Mistake-prone. That’s me.
Last night as I was getting ready to draw winners, I explained the contest and said the name but wondered why I’d named it the “Power of 3.” I had no idea. (Whoopsie should actually be my middle name. Clueless should be my first.)
This morning as I was fixing to write this post it dawned on me: “Oh shiitake! I forgot I needed to pick THREE winners from the general entries. Holy hell!”
But then I further realized I never even clearly stated that in the contest rules that there would be three general entry winners chosen. (I call them general entries, which just means not newsletter subscribers.)
Gah!
I could’ve gotten away with not picking the other two, but then I would have to live with an uneasy conscience. No thanks. Better to fess up and own my mistake and set about correcting it.
Luckily, being the Whoopsie that I am, I have a LOT of practice with owning my mistakes. So I quickly set up another Livestream to really fast draw the other two general entry winners.
So here they all are, both general entry and the sole newsletter subscribing winner of the mack daddy grand prize.
