A press release caught my eye the other day that piqued my interest. The headline read “Corus Studios Moves into the Paranormal Genre with the Addition of Repossessed and Expands Offerings with New Seasons of Deadman’s Curse, The Big Bake and Styled.”
Repossessed? Deadman’s Curse?
I quickly discovered that despite its spooky-sounding name, Deadman’s Curse is a gold-hunting show. However, the other one definitely involved ghost-hunting. Of sorts.
“The addition of riveting new series Repossessed underscores our ongoing commitment to creating compelling content, showcasing real-life stories, and bringing those stories to viewers globally,” said Lisa Godfrey, Senior Vice President of Original Content and Corus Studios. “As our library of diverse and intriguing content continues to expand, we are focused on meeting the demand in multiple popular genres such as crime, paranormal and investigation for platforms around the world.”
There’s not a lot of info out about it yet. Enough to know things like who’s in it and the gist of what it’ll be about. Let’s check it out.
About Repossessed
The new Corus Studios original series Repossessed will contain eight hour-long episodes. It’s led by popular paranormal investigator Moe Sargi, psychic medium Leitreanna Brown, and researcher Marika Simon. They travel across North America in search of the most haunted objects and desperate owners who need their help.
Repossessed Release Date* UPDATED
A release date is one thing the press release didn’t state. It just indicated that the series will air on The HISTORY® Channel and joins the new season of Crime Beat, season 4 as part of the paranormal and crime offerings available at MIPCOM.
Undeterred, I went in search of more info about the show, starting with its cast. Perhaps they’d reveal something. That’s how I discovered Moe Sargi is a popular paranormal social media influencer with almost three million YouTube subscribers and 150K Twitter followers. And it was on Twitter where he shared the news about the new show he’ll be hosting.
He didn’t reveal a release date either, only that it’s “coming soon.” However, in addition to being watchable on the History Channel, he also indicated it’ll be on Hulu.

We knew Repossessed would be on Hulu thanks to Moe Sargi’s initial Tweet, but now we have another one. On Feb. 26, 2023, Sargi posted on his Twitter that Repossessed will premier on Hulu on Tuesday, February. 28.

Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.

Follow Moe Sargi on youtube. Been a follower of his for years now. He hasnt mentioned a release date yet, but, he did say he hopefully can make an update on his vlog channel The Sargi Family in a couple of weeks. The announcement he made is towards the end of his video. His Main channel is just his name MOE SARGI. Go check him out.

It’s so unfair that fans like me in the UK can’t get to watch it. From day one when he said that he’d got a TV series out I was so pleased for him. And I was getting so excited to watch it then to be told ‘this app does not work in the uk’ . Oh well I have to just wait for it to come to the UK ?

Oh Sarah! I’m so sorry to hear it’s not gonna stream where everyone can watch. I hate when that happens! If it’s any consolation, that’s how so many fans felt when Nick Groff’s Death Walker, which now we’re finally able to see episodes here on YouTube but…ugh! Torture knowing they were out there but not accessible to us. lol Seriously though, I hope you’ll have access to Repossessed episodes sooner rather than later.
