AddamsFest 2022 Events Schedule Sneak Peek

For Halloween 2022, Netflix is rebooting two beloved TV classics, including The Munsters (in the form of a movie by Rob Zombie) and Wednesday (in the form of a series inspired by The Addams Family). That last one, in particular, is of interest. Maybe AddamsFest 2022 will be even more popular this year?

Not that the Netflix series was filmed in Westfield, New Jersey. (It was filmed on location in Bucharest, Romania. But another creepy event that happened in the town also inspired another Netflix series coming to the streamer sometime in 2022, The Watcher.)

However, Westfield is proud of their native son, Charles Addams, creator of the comic strip that the beloved 1960s sitcom was based on. For the past several years, they’ve held the town-wide and month-long celebration known as AddamsFest in his honor. Snap, snap.

They’re gearing up for another spooktacular event filled with family-friendly activities of all varieties. Let’s check out what they’ve announced so far.

AddamsFest 2022 Scheduled Events

The Art of Cartooning Workshop – 8/29-9/1

Since this takes place from August 29 through September 1, this will kick off AddamsFest activities a little early.

Evilution Art Exhibit: Addams and the Artistic Process – 10/14-31

I almost thought that was a typo…until it dawned on me it was a clever play on words. AddamsFesters can check this out on Fridays-Sundays, October 14-31 at the Center for Creativity at the Rialto.

Morticia & Gomez’s Masquerade Ball – 10/14

If you get all dressed up you need somewhere to go and what better place than Westfield’s James Ward Mansion, a New Orleans-style boutique event space.

Addams Family Fun Day – 10/16

I don’t know what all it entails yet, but I imagine downtown Westfield will come alive with lots of fun and creativity

Charlie’s Ale Garden – 10/22

AddamsFest blends with Octoberfest in this event that’s always super popular. This year it will take place at the Westfield Armory.

Chatting with Charlie, the PBS Interview – 10/27

The Center for Creativity at The Rialto will play this interview for AddamsFesters to watch.

Family Movie – 10/29

They haven’t announced which movie it will be yet, just that it will play at the Center for Creativity at The Rialto.

AddamsFest 2022 Returning Events

It wouldn’t be an AddamsFest without these other popular activities, including the Wicked Windows of Westfield, the Addams House on Mindowaskin Pond, and the Haunt Your House contest.
