Beware when shopping at the grocery store this fall, especially if you head down the beverage aisle. Unless you collect horror movie-inspired limited edition items. For a limited time, you’ll find the portraits of five horror icons gracing the packaging of Fanta.
It’s part of a Halloween 2025 collab with Universal Pictures and Blumhouse, the leader in horror. In addition to being a fun way to celebrate the spookiest season of the year, it’s also a clever way to promote two horror sequels releasing this year. Black Phone 2 releases in theatres on October 17. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 hits the big screen on December 5.
The Grabber and Freddy Fazbear are two of the horror villains you’ll find as part of the “They Wanta Fanta” campaign. Who are the other three? What are their flavors? And, maybe most important of all (especially if you’re a Fanta fan), where can you find them? Let’s explore.
The Five “They Wanta Fanta” Horror Icons and Their Flavors
Chucky
That demon doll from the Child’s Play franchise is the only one getting a custom flavor: Chucky’s Punch, a fruit punch flavor.
In fact, the other four horror icons all want to get their hands (or paws, Freddy Fazbear, I’m looking at you) on it. Why? I don’t know. Maybe because it’s caffeine-free?
The Grabber
You can find the masked serial kidnapper and killer from The Black Phone on Strawberry Fantas. Of course. Red. The Grabber’s favorite color. Besides maybe cherry (which I don’t think Fanta has a flavor for, but if I’m wrong, let me know), Strawberry makes perfect sense.
Freddy Fazbear
Another color/horror icon pairing that makes perfect sense is Freddy Fazbear on Orange and Orange Zero Sugar.
M3gan
M3gan from her titular series is on Grape. Make sure to pay attention to the “where to find the flavors” section below if you want her, though. She and Michael Myers are special cases.
Michael Myers
No Halloweentime special release, especially not one from Universal, would be complete without incorporating Michael Myers from the Halloween franchise. His is the one flavor matchup I do not understand though. Pineapple. Someone make this make sense for me.
Where to Find Them

You’ll find the limited edition Halloween Fanta flavors wherever the soda is sold. Mostly. Basically, think retail stores and vending machines. I even found Freddy Fazbear Orange Fanta and Chucky’s Fruit Punch Caffeine Free Fanta 12-packs on Amazon.
However, there are a couple of caveats. Michael Myers on Pineapple is a US-exclusive offering.
M3gan on Grape will only be available via Freestyle machines in select Cinemas across the U.S. and in Universal Theme Parks. I’m sure that includes the newly opened Universal Epic Universe. If you’re on socials, this may explain why you might start seeing a lot of folks posting shots of themselves with some M3gan Grape Fanta in the Dark Universe. The same goes for posts from Universal Horror Unleashed in Area15. I imagine it’ll be available there too.
Other “They Wanta Fanta” Experiences?
One part of the Coca-Cola Company announcement about their killer Halloween horror soda lineup particularly intrigued me:
Across the globe, fans can expect to see the cult and modern Halloween characters on the hunt, with a series of experiences in the run-up to Halloween.
Specifically, it was the word “experiences” that caught my eye. It was reiterated again later in the announcement:
From September to October and beyond, fans are encouraged to keep their eyes peeled as the horror icons are set to show up everywhere that Fanta® does, from the limited-edition packaging, to retail, vending machines, factories, and real-life experiences.
But what kind of experiences? There was another part that mentioned QR codes:
Fans can get more from the characters by scanning the QR code on the side of cans to access exclusive content and experiences.
But it’s the “real-life” part that got me. Will they do something where they have the characters show up like they did with the M3gan flashmob at Halloween Horror Nights?
I don’t know. But guess what I’ll be doing when I spot any of this packaging? If you guessed scanning the bar code, you’re right!

Do you drink Fanta? If so, do you have a favorite flavor?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.

I love Fanta, any flavor. They’re just not so good on the waistline.? What a clever marketing idea for the spooky season!
Ok I was kinda confused by the lineup at first, but now I realize Fanta must have teamed up with Universal/Blumhouse because these are all their IPs haha
LOL! Yes. That’s what happened. I don’t think I made that clear. Eeeek.
LOL, Priscilla! My waistline seconds your comment. (And my blood sugar is raising its hand too. lol) But I do like the fun of it all.
