Do you know who Linnea Quigley is? She’s an actress who has been in a lot of horror movies. Her name didn’t ring a bell but an article about her on Bloody Disgusting caught my eye. She has a new series coming out soon called Linnea Quigley’s Paranormal Truth. Of course, anything “paranormal” always piques my interest!
I believe Paranormal Truth will be a web series, but I’m not sure. Other than the trailer saying what it’s going to be about, which we’ll get to (both the trailer and a series overview), it didn’t say where to watch it except that it’ll be “streaming on all good platforms.”
For now, here’s what we do know about the forthcoming series, starting with who Linnea Quigley is before ending with a look at the trailer for Paranormal Truth.
Who is Linnea Quigley?
If you’re a horror movie fan, you’ve likely seen one of the horror movies Quigley has been in. She appeared in her first movie in 1975. (As a barmaid in Psycho from Texas.)
Other movies she’s been in include Tourist Trap (as an uncredited mannequin), Silent Night, Deadly Night (Denise), The Return of the Living Dead (Trash), A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 (as a soul from Freddy’s chest), as well as dozens and dozens more.
She’s definitely appeared in several horror films from every decade since the 70s, but also maybe as many as at least one from each year of every decade. Not all as starring roles, but there is no question she knows a thing or two about horror movie sets!
It’s debatable who’s really horror’s ultimate scream queen, but if sheer volume of movies you’ve worked on makes you a contender? It’s no wonder she’s selling herself as “the world’s number one scream queen” in the description for her new show.

Here’s the description for Paranormal Truth on its trailer:

Besides the few topics mentioned in the description, the trailer also mentioned what else the 12-episode series will explore, including:
- The undead
- The Fouke Creek Monster, aka Bigfoot (Also sometimes known as the Boggy Creek Monster.)
- Demonic possession, including examining whether the scenes from the exorcist are true or just fiction? (Which we already know the answer to, courtesy of discovery+’s Exorcism of Roland Doe Shock Docs.)
- The haunting of the Queen Mary
- The Cecil Hotel (See? There it is again! 2021 is the year of the Cecil!)
- Area 51 and do aliens really exist?
