End of an Era: Last Walker Stalker Cruise Sets Sail in 2019

Are you a fan of the Walking Dead? What about of cruising? You may know about the Walker Stalker Cruises then. Perhaps you’ve even taken one?

As I was updating the Paracons and Horror Fests page the other day, I noticed the Walker Stalker Cruise had new info up about it’s next cruise, which will happen in 2019. February 21-25, 2019 to be exact.

However, I also noticed something else. Two words that made me pause for a second: The Finale.

The Finale

Finale? Had I missed an announcement about an impending end to the Walking Dead series?

I know Season 8 of The Walking Dead wasn’t great, and it’s season ending could almost pass as a series finale. Almost. It would be a terrible one, but it could. (Judging from some of the comments I saw about Season 8, I think some wish it would be its end.)

All it said on the Walker Stalker Cruise site was:

Join your new cruise family on the 4th and final Walker Stalker Cruise sailing February 21-25, 2019 from Tampa to Nassau, Bahamas — a 4-day adventure with Skybound’s The Walking Dead. Don’t miss the final WSC sailing…

After searching high and low (with Google’s help) for any indication that the end of The Walking Dead series was near, I reached the conclusion that the series doesn’t seem to be pulling a Game of Thrones anytime soon.

It’s just the fan cruise that’s coming to an end.

Big Name on Board

One of TWD’s most popular characters is bad ass Daryl Dixon, played by Norman Reedus.

Not sure who else will be among the Walking Dead cast members setting sail on the Norwegian Pearl with hoards of adoring fans, but Norman is the headliner.

In fact, the finale cruise is being billed as “The Walking Dead Walker Stalker Cruise 2019 with Norman Reedus.”

Pre-Sale

As I stated above, the cruise sails February 21-25, 2019, and is a 4-day adventure to Nassau, Bahamas round trip from Tampa, Florida.

Prices aren’t listed on the Walker Stalker Cruise site yet, but pre-sale reservations are already being accepted.

I’m not positive, but in the years I’ve been following the cruise I want to say it sells out.

Which makes sense.

TWD fans are a passionate bunch. To have a whole ship to themselves with other fans plus  some cast members and creators of their favorite show? Dream vacation!
