Previous Calls for Submissions
Submission deadline ended August 31, 2019. We are currently in the process of reading submissions for Haunted Playthings: 13 Tales of Terror Based on True Stories…or are they?
We aim to have rejections/acceptances to all authors by November 30, 2019. See below! If you do not hear from us by then, please inquire as to the status of your story. Otherwise, hold tight. We likely just haven’t gotten to yours yet.
Update November 30, 2019: We received more submissions than anticipated. We’re a little behind getting out acceptances and rejections. Our new response deadline is now January 15, 2020. Thank you for your patience. If you haven’t heard from us yet, though, and would like to make sure your story is in our queue, feel free to use the Contact Us page to reach out.
Update January 17, 2020: This is embarrassing, but we’re still behind reading submissions. (2019 resulted in a bunch of unexpected jaunts that threw us completely off schedule. The holidays –and even more jaunts– didn’t help.) However, we have a new timeline and we’re determined to stick to it!
We’re now aiming to have all stories read and responded to by the end of February.
We’re aiming for an August 2, 2020 release date for National Doll Day.

Update January 30, 2020: We didn’t receive enough usable stories to make this anthology work, so we’ve now decided to take this project in a different direction. Individual emails will be sent to all authors to make sure everyone knows.
