Would you be willing to bet that odds are high you’ll witness paranormal activity in states famous for their haunting histories, such as Louisiana or Massachusetts? Before placing any wagers, you might want to check out a new supernatural study. It comes from an unlikely source and reveals some surprising results. Let’s check it out.

The Supernatural Study

GreatLakesStakes.com, a Michigan-centered gambling news and information site, gathered information from the National UFO Reporting Center and Ghosts of America. After determining the total number of UFO and ghost sighting reports in each state, they analyzed the odds of where you’re most and least likely to see activity.

But they also combined the data and factored in each state’s population to determine the odds of where you’re most and least likely to see the supernatural overall.

Top 3 Takeaways from the Supernatural Study

1. UFOs more common than ghosts

According to their study, you’re more likely to see a UFO in America than a ghost.

2. Population matters

Some states that ranked high on either the ghost or UFO lists, or both, suddenly ranked low overall, and vice versa, when population was factored in.

Especially in Texas and California. Both ranked high on the individual UFO and ghost lists, but don’t bet on them overall. Odds are against you.

3. Overall, seeing a ghost or UFO is rare

People experience weird things. There’s no denying that. But when it does happen, it’s actually very uncommon.

Or maybe it’s just not common for people to report their UFO encounters and ghost sightings?

OMG…dark skies. I’m SO envious. Although, our skies aren’t as bright as some places, but our house has the misfortune of having the streetlights shine in. But oooo! I hope if you spot any UFOs you’ll write about them. I’ll be watching for it!
