How to Participate in the World’s Largest Ghost Hunt

Last year we wrote about the very first National Ghost Hunting Day. It’s back again this year, and, like last year, is being celebrated with a ghost hunt. The World’s Largest Ghost Hunt, in fact.

Here’s what you need to know about how to participate and/or watch the hunts as they unfold all over the globe.

When

The haunting hunting starts Saturday September 30, 2017 at 10 p.m. Eastern.

Where

Teams are setting up for investigations in haunted places all over the world. These are being called “Satellite”  locations.

There are nearly 100 of them in the following countries:

  • The United States
  • India
  • Australia
  • The United Kingdom
  • Ireland
  • Canada
  • Netherlands
  • Malaysia
  • Mexico

Here are just a few of the locations that will be investigated:

To see them all, check out the Ghost Hunting Satellites section or the Map of Locations under the World’s Largest Ghost Hunt tab on the National Ghost Hunting Day site.

Command Centers

There are also two Command Centers in place.

  1. The Metaphysical Command Center will be at the Old Baraboo Inn in Wisconsin and will be manned by Team OBI Paranormal Investigators.
  2. The Para Psychology Command Center will be at the Horsefly Chronicles House in Pennsylvania and will be manned by Horsefly Paranormal Team.
Be a Part of the Experiment

The other neat thing the World’s Largest Ghost Hunt is doing is running two experiments.

One is the Bridge Experiment which will be conducted by Brian J. Cano.

The purpose of “The Bridge” experiment is to establish a web of linked consciousness around the globe as all teams engage in a two-hour session, attempting to contact the Other Side.  The intent of the experiment  is to analyze if this shared activity improves communication and raises vibrations.

The other is the Random Number Generators conducted by Bryan J. Williams. Like the Bridge Experiment, it is also a test to see if paraunity exists when a collective consciousness focuses its energy and time on a common cause.

Attend

You can physically join the hunt with any of the teams signed up for the event.

To find a location near you, just pick any of the Satellites (see the “Where” section above for how to find Satellite locations).

Note: Some teams may charge to participate in their World’s Largest Ghost Hunt investigation. Money raised benefits the haunted locations, many of which are historic properties. (Think of it as a preservation fundraiser.)

Can’t make it to a physical location?

Hunts will be live streamed via National Ghost Hunting Day’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/NationalGhostHuntingDay/.

(And perhaps also through their World’s Largest Ghost Hunt Facebook Event? Not sure about that one, but like the event and you’ll be covered. https://www.facebook.com/events/315879592101031/.)

  1. Hello I really like this idea y’all have in doing this world wide G.H.. I was going to try and let you know about these good people over in Biloxi Ms.at Beauvoir the home of CSA President Jefferson Davis’s home and they are doing a “HUGE” hunt of the buildings and the 42 acres in which it is on. I thought you’re so close in date of YOUR hunt and in the same genre. Maybe for next year you might connect or coordinate with them and ALL the participants that are there doing this hunt tonight? Just food for thought and I thought about this and wondered if it might help you with already interested people in the paranormal field all at one place and only one week for your date in hunts. Captain Rick of New Orleans.

  2. Author

Hey Captain Rick! I’m not affiliated with the World’s Largest Ghost Hunt, but I do know the people who run it. I’m sure they would love to have the hunt you’re talking about on board for next year. Is it a yearly hunt they do? Also, is there any info about this one you’re talking about? I’d love to put it on the Ghost Hunts page. (I will also Google and see if I find any info. Love the sound of it. Sounds like a very neat place to investigate.)
