Teaser Alert: A Cryptic Sneak Peek at “Kindred Spirits” Season Premiere

Besides getting to interview Kindred Spirit stars Amy and Adam, I was also afforded the opportunity to watch Season 3’s premiere episode, “No Salvation,” before the actual air date. (Travel Channel’s hit series, Kindred Spirits, returns on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT.)

I know a lot of people have patiently waited for this show’s return, so I’m not going to be a party pooper and give away any spoilers.

But I love to tease, so there will be some teasers ahead. Read on…if you can stand it.

(Note: If you read this soon after it’s published, you won’t have long to wait to watch it for yourself. It airs tomorrow. If you watch it after that, you may enjoy thinking about what you would have chosen to tease about that I didn’t.)

The Setting

The first episode takes place at what was once the Odd Fellows Home, but is now the Belvoir Winery & Inn in Liberty, Missouri.

The Odd Fellows Home was built by the International Order of Odd Fellows (a fraternal society). It was a complex of buildings that included a hospital, nursing home, old folks home and orphanage.

The present day inn currently occupies the renovated orphanage building. The owner would like to renovate the other buildings (which are currently abandoned) for use, but…

The Problem

The owner, Jesse, worries what might happen. Amy and Adam had investigated the Belvoir Winery & Inn before and validated that it was haunted. Which was fine by Jesse. As Amy put, it was almost like sort of a novelty to him.

Except, now something’s different. There have been increased reports that something more sinister is at play.

For instance, in the hospital the activity has gotten more physical with touching, pushing, and hair pulling (especially women’s hair). But where people feel most uncomfortable is upstairs in the nursing facility.

Jesse is hoping Amy and Adam will find out what is causing the new level of more aggressive interaction.

What’s in a Name?

Have you ever had someone get your name wrong? Maybe they mispronounced it, or misspelled it? Maybe both?

As I alluded to in the interview write up, this very issue is one Amy and Adam discover: a ghost with many names.

But before he was a ghost, he was a person. Is he upset no one knows his rightful name? Does this explain some of the negative activity on the property? Will Amy and Adam find out what it is? (Both the name and the reason for the negative activity?)

The Ceiling

Not “The” ceiling but…well, you’ll see if you watch the episode. Source: “Kindred Spirits” / Travel Channel

Heads up: as you’re watching the episode, you’ll want to watch your head.

Okay, not really.

But Amy and Adam needed to. The ceiling hold clues –and perhaps activity?

The Guest Investigators

Amy and Adam are joined by two other big names in the paranormal. I won’t say who, but one is a renowned psychic and the other is another paranormal investigator*. (They’ve been on past episodes. This won’t come as much of a surprise.)

The other para investigator also has to watch his head. That ceiling issue poses a challenge for him too.

*Correction 1/24/19: I originally had mislabeled this person a demonologist. He is not. #Whoops. (But corrected now.)

Demons Ahead?

Ironically, it’s the psychic who may —or may not– alert the group to a potential demon.

Now how did that suddenly get there? Amy and Adam may have some theories.

And is that what’s tormenting the property’s child spirits?

All Hands on Deck

Amy and Adam call for all hands on deck to bring a different vibe to the inn. Will it work? Is that how they’ll dispel the negative energy?

{Insert Shrug Here}

Dunno. After you’ve watched, come back and let me know.

High five!
