Screambox revealed that some exciting titles are joining the horror streaming service in July 2023, including We Might Hurt Each Other, Shoky & Morthy: Last Big Thing, Repulse, Elvira’s Haunted Hills, and Scream, Queen! New to Screambox July 2023
Elvira’s Haunted Hills, 13 Nights of Elvira, and even MORE Elvira
Evil, terror, lust…the Mistress of the Dark really knows how to party! Elvira’s Haunted Hills is now streaming on Screambox, along with 13 Nights of Elvira and over ten classic episodes of Elvira’s Movie Macabre.
We Might Hurt Each Other
Lithuania’s first slasher pays tribute to the golden age of the subgenre while infusing an influence from Eastern European folklore. The Screambox Original We Might Hurt Each Other starts streaming on Screambox on July 11.
Shoky & Morthy: Last Big Thing
A pair of notorious YouTubers make a killer comeback in this Screambox Exclusive premiering on July 18. The Czech film balances laughs and thrills like Tucker and Dale vs Evil while channeling the absurdity of Dumb and Dumber with a modern twist.
Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge star Mark Patton examines his legacy in this documentary that features interviews with Robert Englund, Robert Rusler, Clu Gulager, and Jack Sholder. Premieres July 21.

Repulse
Two dysfunctional families intersect in disturbing ways in the Screambox Exclusive Repulse on July 25. The bleak, brutal Czech film harkens back to boundary-pushing horror like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes.

Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, as well as obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.

So can you get Screambox on Roku? Also, this service is just Comedy-Horror and the like? No reality Ghost Hunting or anything like we’ve been discussing recently? That’s the kind of channel we REALLY need. At least I do, and I know a LOT of other people need that, as well. If someone had the money, they could get something like that going. There are plenty of very good ghost hunting teams on YouTube that could be picked up for their own shows; including my team. Paranormal Nightmare are real good. Project Fear could get another streaming home. There are a couple of twins on YouTube that are popular. I can’t remember their name, though. There’s a guy who does a show called Haunted Side that’s pretty good too. Jalen from Ghost Brothers is on YouTube. He could find a place on a new streaming service, and bring his Ghost Brothers if they were still interested. Maybe The Wraith Chasers might even sign up again. Groff Adventures (Nick and his wife) are together on YouTube; they could start moving on a new streaming service as well as Katrina Weidman with her show that she does with her friend (can’t remember her name), Travel the Dead. And those are just a few. I’m sure people would be tuning in from all over the world. Other people who have been kicked to the curb like Ghost Dimension out of the UK might be up for it. I love their work. Most Haunted was always intriguing, and she’s been doing it for ages! The one with the bald Scottish woman got thrown out, too, I believe. Oh, yeah, Spooked Scotland. She might want in on it. If I only had the cash to start up a streaming service. I know there’s a market there and money to be made there! There would be plenty of paranormal teams all over the place signing up to audition for their own show. It’s would be a ghost hunter’s dream! A never ending paranormal extravaganza 24/7 365 days a year! THAT would really kick the Travel Channel and Discovery+ in the teeth!
Just to add on to that. There could even be specials or “infomercials,” if you will, from stores like Ghost Stop, Ghost Gear, and The Ghost Hunter Store, showing off the latest and greatest new ghost hunting gear, and there’s some really cool stuff coming out all the time!
Screambox is pretty much like Shudder, ie. horror-centric. Horror movies of all kinds, not just comedy-horror. Tubi is probably the best place now for ghost hunting stuff. Not a lot of new things (that I know of. I’m trying to get on their radar to get their press releases about new shows and such.) But they have a lot of reruns. Honestly, like you pointed out, YouTube probably is your best best for original ghost hunting shows. And then they’re not confined by strict parameters and have more freedom to create as they want. Maybe they don’t have as much reach, but that freedom to do it their way is probably priceless. Depends on what they’re in it for though. I think we’re past the paranormal golden age. Someone’s going to have to come up with some very new concept in order to recharge it again.
