What if 12/21/12 Brought…

…the end? Well, that’d be the end. Not much you can do about that.

Although, it is the end –of a cycle in the Mayan long count calendar.

But we all know I’m being cheeky. A lot of people have interpreted 12/21/12 as being THE END. For all of humanity and the world.

Perhaps I’m jaded and a bit desensitized. We’ve sort of been through this before. Y2K was super disappointing. Nothing went wonky as feared. Turned out to be a lot of hype. Damn media anyway.

Some think 12/21/12 could bring the zombie apocalypse.

Perhaps. But not likely. (At least I hope not. As much as I love the zombie genre I really hope it stays just that –fiction!)

What if it brought an alien invasion?

Still scary, but I’m not gonna lie. I’d be excited to finally have proof we’re not alone. (I would not, however, be happy if they wanted to take us over, harvest us for a food source, or anything bad like that. I got a lot of meat on these bones. I’d make a tasty meal! Unless they want brains like the zombies. Then they might be disappointed with me…)

But if they want to make contact, exchange ideas, learn from each other…fantastic!

Here’s something I bet you haven’t heard anyone suggest: Goblins. What if 12/21/12 brought them?

The above pic of me was taken at Rock City before I saw The Hobbit. Even then I knew goblins weren’t a good thing. After seeing Peter Jackson bring them to life, I know I really don’t want to meet any and am glad I didn’t when I ventured into that Goblins Underpass.

But what about fairies? What if this new spiritual awakening included more fairies? And don’t say you don’t believe. You must, you must! That’s how they keep alive whether you see them or not! (I learned that from Peter Pan.)

I would be delighted to meet a fairy in person. I looked for them in the Fairyland Caverns at Rock City. Saw a couple even.

No matter what 12/21/12 brings, I’m ready. Theoretically. I don’t have any stockpiles of weaponry, food, or medicine, however, I have my game face.

And a cute outfit. What more could a girl want for the end of the world?
