The Nutcrackers of Amazon

Funny how one thing leads to another, isn’t it? While I was writing about the lore of nutcrackers, I learned about Steinbach Nutcrackers. They sort of “revolutionized” nutcrackers, if you will, by turning them into not only artistic keepsakes, but in some cases very valuable collectibles.

I couldn’t help but wonder, “Do they sell any Steinbach’s on Amazon?”

So I searched. And guess what? Of course you can find some Steinbach nutcrackers on Amazon!

(Really, I shouldn’t be surprised. Is there anything you can’t find on Amazon? Materialistically speaking of course. I don’t think you can find love. Pretty sure Amazon isn’t into the dating business. Yet. Who knows. They may eventually.)

Anyway, there are definitely Steinbach Nutcrackers’s being sold on Amazon.

Of course those are not the only type of nutcrackers. I got distracted by the ones that popped up under the “Customers also shopped for” and “Sponsored items related to this product” sections. Because nutcrackers of the likes I never even knew existed were there!

Like this Steinbach 17.5″ 100th Anniversary The RMS Titanic Nutcracker.

A Titanic nutcracker? Are you kidding me? I don’t know why I’m so fascinated with that tragedy, but I am. Titanic-type things always catch my eye.

However, never in a million years would I have thought there would be such a nutcracker. But get a load of the price: $129.99. (Which will seem like a bargain compared to some of the others I’ve found. Still, that was another surprise. Never knew they cost so much!)

Then there were all the Dracula nutcrackers. Yes, plural. There were more than one.

They vary by price and slightly by style, but here’s what came up:

Santa’s Workshop 10” Dracula Nutcracker, Black/Red – $35

Kurt Adler 2 Assorted Halloween Nutcrackers 15″ Dracula & Devil – $89.99

2017 Steinbach Dracula Vampire with Bat German Wood Halloween Nutcracker Germany – $259.98

2013 Signed Steinbach *Count Dracula Vampire* LE Nutcracker 1st in Horror Series – $399.99

It stood to reason if they had a Dracula nutcracker, they might have a Frankstein one too, right? Yep

Kurt Adler Signed Steinbach Frankenstein Monster Nutcracker, 16.5-Inch – $78.99

Okay, so what about Krampus? Surely if Drac and Frankie are represented, ol’ Krampus must be too. Since his legend originates from about the same region as nutcrackers themselves do and all. Sure enough…

Krampus Nutcracker, Limited Edition – $115

So what other kind of fun nutcrackers could I find if I searched? Skeletons, ghosts, witches? Two out of three wasn’t bad… (Well, three out of three if the two different witches make up for the lack of a ghost nutcracker.)

Kurt Adler DN6173L 10″ Jack Skellington Nutcracker – $41

Santa’s Workshop 70938 Halloween Witch Nutcracker, Multicolored, 10″ – $35

2017 Steinbach Halloween Witch with Bat and Spider German Wood Nutcracker – $259.98

Finally, I didn’t search these out, but these Star Wars nutcrackers kept popping up as suggestions under the other ones. I thought they were fun so why not include them too? The TIE Fighter is completely non-traditional, not to mention probably the most functional of all, but how cool. Very clever!

Kurt Adler Yoda in Santa Robe Nutcracker, 9-Inch – $40

Kurt Adler Darth Vader with Death Star Nutcracker, 10-Inch – $45

Star Wars TIE Fighter Steel Nutcracker – $24.99

Did you have any idea nutcrackers like these existed? Do you own any nutcrackers? Do you ever use them or are they for display only?
