Amanda Woomer / Spook-Eats

My name is Amanda and I am a huge travel buff, foodie (who isn’t?), and lover of all things strange and unusual.

I’ve been visiting haunted locations ever since my first visit to Gettysburg, PA in 2004 and since then I’ve traveled to dozens of haunted places in the United States from the Stanley Hotel in Colorado to the home of Robert the Doll in Key West.

I’m continuing my journey around the country, visiting bars, cafes, restaurants, and hotels, searching for delicious food and spirits of all kinds. We’ll visit the Lemp Mansion, the Farnsworth House, the Lizzie Borden bed and breakfast, and maybe even some locales you haven’t heard of yet!

Come along with me (if you dare), it’s going to be a spooky ride.

When she’s not traveling to haunted places and events, investigating the strange and macabre, or writing about them, she’s usually wrangling cats or skeletons –sometimes both at the same time. And if she’s not doing any of the above, she’s likely plotting episode shenanigans with her A Haunt Mess podcast co-hosts/ghoulfriends.

Catrina Gagnon, known to most as Cat  has honed her paranormal skills over the past years. Prior to moving to Virginia Cat lived in the New England states and remains active with her research team Paranormal Reactions. During her time in New England she established many versions of public investigations as well as overnights for the public. Paranormal Reactions and Cat really aimed their efforts in educating the public about the paranormal. Cat is also a jewelry maker as well as a writer. Her insight into life sees others as they truly are and doesn’t look at the shell but rather the whole. Cat is also a location researcher, applying her ability to gather the truth about a location. She keeps to the truth of what she finds and refuses to deviate from false truth. Cat is that one person you would want doing the research of your location or helping a team. Her humor is abroad while being somewhat introverted. She views all the same, unless they give her a reason to really look at one’s intent.

Howie is a Paralogian, one who educates the public in all areas of what we call the paranormal and the spiritual with most of his focus being scientific based. He grows his skills in history, the knowledge, the understanding of all para-research as well as in psychology and sociology. He has a huge amount of knowledge with in the spiritual, being mentored by Han Who, as well as spiritual leader Jean Kromm, who’s father worked directly with Edgar Cayce. He has found how to educate others with the use of both science and spiritualism, making him a truly unique individual to match his eccentric personality.

Miranda Young
Miranda Young Ghost Biker Explorations
Miranda Young / Ghost Biker Explorations

Miranda Young, creator and star of the hit web series Ghost Biker Explorations, is an experienced paranormal investigator, who has turned her passion for photography, history, URBEX, and motorcycles into a unique and popular show that highlights history, legends, mysteries and the unexplained.

Since 2018, Ghost Biker Explorations has amassed a large fan base over various social media outlets. GBE is unique among other paranormal web series because it has a scheduled release date and time for each episode during the month of October; a full-scale marketing blitz for these releases, which starts in September, including: teasers, trailers, episode countdowns, and promotional podcasts and media events. While Miranda’s passion for travel, history, motorcycles and the paranormal are emphasized in each episode, the ultimate goal of GBE is to tell the history and stories of small-town locations, that might otherwise be lost among the popularity of other “commercialized” paranormal sites. Miranda’s ability to highlight the history, legends, and possible paranormal activity at these locations has endeared herself to her fans and has allowed her and GBE to emerge as a fresh and unique concept within the paranormal community.

Currently, you can follow along with Miranda and Ghost Biker Explorations on the Ghost Biker Explorations Facebook page, YouTube channel and the GBE website. Miranda is also active on Instagram (Runaway_Vixen) and on Twitter.

Neil Packer
Neil Packer
Neil Packer / Haunted Antiques Paranormal Research Centre

Haunted antiques began when Neil had the idea of antiques possibly holding onto spiritual energy. To research this idea he contacted dozens of antique centres in the Midlands. Only one replied. Phil Sims returned Neil’s message, and it was the telephone conversation that followed that has led to HAPRC becoming what it is today.

Neil’s collection of haunted antiques began in his carport, which is where the Monday night item of the week live feeds originated. It soon became evident, as the collection grew and lots of people in the paranormal field asking if they could go and see the items, that a proper location was needed. So, the search began to find a building which would become the Haunted antiques paranormal research centre. Neil viewed quite a few possible locations but he kept being drawn to 11A Regent Street. One of the oldest streets in the thirteenth century town. Papers were signed in February 2018 and 11A Regent Street became the home to the first ever paranormal research centre in the UK. HAPRC is not like other museums that now seem to be popping up. The antiques and items are not kept behind glass. Everyone that comes into the centre are encouraged to hold or to sit in the exhibits, to see what they sense or feel.

Paul Stevenson and Andy Soar are the driving force behind Haunted Magazine, backed up by some fantastic writers and photographers along the way. Both with different skill-sets they work hand in hand to make Haunted Magazine the best it can be. Their modus operandi is simple; Paul creates a paranormal jigsaw and gives it to Andy to finish, adding his design stamp all over it. They normally finish their jigsaw every other month, which is no mean feat considering it normally says 4-6 years on the box.

Penny Griffiths-Morgan
Penny Morgan
Penny Griffiths-Morgan / Haunted Histories

Penny has had an interest in all things unusual from a young age after experiencing seeing a light anomaly in an old barn in the village that she grew up in.

Her love of history has led her to visit as many museums, old buildings and ruins as humanly possible and fast forward some years and she was given the chance to embrace both her loves by presenting the Haunted Histories podcast, current through Paranormal UK Radio.  A show where she gets to talk investigating and history with pretty much anyone who is anyone in the paranormal world including people like Lee Roberts, Chris Smith of Tennessee Wraith Chasers, writer Richard Estep and the Lacey to her Cagney, Jayne Harris.

She was also featured in a women in the paranormal article for the Daily Mail at the beginning of 2019, and also writes a regular feature for Haunted Magazine called “Not so ‘orrible histories”, has appeared on Paul Ross’ radio show and was even a special guest at the October 2019 Usborne book launch for Ghosts.

If that was not enough, she is also a published author, her first book “My Haunted History” is available on Amazon and her new book, “A Haunted Experiment” was released early in 2020.  She is now working on writing about the British School in Hitchin, with their full encouragement and access to all their records.

Somehow she also finds time to be a wife, mum of two young boys, lift weights at that gym and belt out the odd hard rock classic when opportunity allows – it’s true what they say, if you want something doing, give it to a busy person.

Steve Dills
Paranormal Investigator Steve Dills
Steve Dills / Transcend Paranormal

Steve Dills is a paranormal investigator with over a decade of experience investigating the Paranormal. His passion for the paranormal stems from experiences at a very young age. Waking up to your name being whispered into your ear at night, and watching the doors to your bedroom open and close repeatedly are not the things that make up a normal childhood. After years of privately investigating the paranormal on his own, Steve teamed up with a number of other paranormal investigators with the same focus and passion, and founded Transcend Paranormal in 2010, where he remains as the Director of the team.

Since that time, Steve, and Transcend Paranormal, has worked with numerous historical sites to not only research and investigate the Paranormal, but to also support those sites. Since its’ establishment, Transcend Paranormal has helped to raise funds for over 15 locations & organizations through public investigations, lectures, events, and lending a hand at those sites through volunteer efforts. Transcend continues these efforts today to ensure that the historical sites and locations we investigate continue to be community centers for education and learning. Transcend also offers services to all of those in need – both public and private locations. Transcend operates out of central Virginia and travels when necessary to assist clients.

Most recently, Steve has partnered with RVA Paranormal for RVA Live, a Facebook Live stream show on Facebook that airs Tuesday nights at 8PM Eastern. The show focuses on discussing the paranormal activity surrounding the haunted locations in the area, as well as interviewing prominent and respected figures in the paranormal field.

Steve continues to investigate the paranormal in determination to unveil some of the mysteries around the paranormal by partnering and working with some of the most prominent investigators and figures in the field.
