Some of you already know that Haunt Jaunts welcomes guest bloggers, but today I decided to make it official. I added a new page to the blog: Want to be a Guest Blogger? It details who can guest blog and what they are welcome to write about.
Basically, anyone is welcome to guest blog. The only requirement is you in some way, shape or form tailor it to haunted places or travel.
Why welcome guest bloggers? A few reasons:
- I was inspired by how guest blogs by both Lisa Logan and Shiela Stewart turned out and what they did with them. I thought it brought a very fresh perspective.
- Fresh perspectives keep the blog from getting stale. (Nothing worse than a stale blog, right?) Seriously though, I can only offer one opinion or viewpoint and have limited access to information. Guest bloggers bring their views, knowledge, and inside info which offers readers a whole lot more in the long run.
- It amounts to a win-win for everybody: In addition to keeping the blog fresh with content readers can not get elsewhere, guest bloggers benefit from a venue targeted to their audience, allows them to share in a way they might not otherwise so people get to know them better, which ultimately amounts to a little free publicity –for both them and me!
