Featured Friday: Southern Haunts

A friend of mine, Pamela K. Kinney, shared a new book with me: Southern Haunts: Devils in the Darkness. Turns out she’s one of the authors who has a story appearing in it. However, it caught my eye for more than just that reason.

From the fiery abyss of the underworld comes 20 hellish tales from the south and southwest. Within these charred pages are stories that will introduce you to the many demons that stay hidden but are always nearby…

20 authors provide stories of possessed people, objects, houses, highways, and the devil’s favorite playground – the forest.

Dare to meet Deidless, a demon who is a buyer of souls. Discover what kind of demons men can summon. Read of battles between good and evil. Learn of ancient artifacts and stones that crave sacrifice. Finally, become acquainted with legions of evil.

Again, we invite you, sit back, dim the lights, and prepare yourself to meet the devils in the darkness.

Southern Haunts: Devils in the Darkness is the next in the exciting anthology series that began with Southern Haunts: Spirits That Walk Among Us.

Southern Haunts: Spirits That Walk Among Us? There was a prior book? Of course had to go look that up too.

From the shadowed realms of the paranormal comes 16 chilling tales that dwell in the South and South West. Resurrected in your very hands are stories that will make you laugh, ponder, and shiver as the reader is introduced to spirits that are humorous, saddened, and vengeful. From 16 authors, learn of haunted homes, buildings, landmarks and roads where restless entities from beyond the grave desire acknowledgement amongst the living. Become acquainted with the aftermath of an eclipse that awakens the dead in a Memphis cemetery, see what horrors dwell in the woods at Hell’s Gate, learn the dark secrets of Sidney’s Cotton, and dare to travel down Ghost Road. These and many other tales are sure to keep you awake as you are introduced to what makes the South and South West so unique…. History and GHOSTS!!!!! So, sit back, dim the lights and prepare yourself to face the spirits that walk among us.

I have added both to my Amazon Wish List. Have you read either of them? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Or if you have any similar books to recommend, lay ’em on me!

  1. I have read part of the first one, Southern Haunts: Spirits That Walk Among Us, and I can say the stories are awesome! I think the third or fourth story in the book really got my heart racing and made me very nervous. I cannot wait to finish the rest of the book.
