After reading the suicide threat posted on Old West Ghost Investigations website, writing a post and Tweeting and FBing about it for help, I actually got some!
Facebook Fan Monica did some smart research and came up with a phone number for Melissa.
Let me back up a sec. After posting online for help, I had also sent Melissa an email asking if she was okay and giving her my phone number if she needed to talk to someone. (Normally I would not do this, but I don’t mess around with suicide. If someone’s at a point where they feel a need to make a statement about taking their own life, I’m putting the offer out there to be an ear if they need it!)
Anyway, so I was just about to call the number Monica shared when a reply email came back from Melissa.
PHEW! She was still alive. Mostly she was just pissed off because of some issues she’s had with a man she says is Internet stalking and harassing her –and has been for the last five years. She was fed up with something else he did a couple of days ago and just felt like if she put that out there he’d finally back off.
It all made me sad. I’ve had such great experiences with people I’ve met online. I’m sorry hers went so south.
But I can’t even tell you how happy my heart is that she’s still alive!

I’m very glad to hear this. It is however a pity that Mellisa chooses to try and “solve” her problems in this manner instead of going to the authorities (if someone has really been stalking her for five years) or actually trying to figure out what the real problem is.

Well I did try to talk with he – calmly and rationally She responded with a bunch of threats and demands – there is probably no point in engaging this person any more. If she has people pestering her as she says, I can now see why!
LOL. Yeah, I feel you. Calm and rational was just not working for me either. She’s very disturbed…and I’m not sure if she already was, or if whoever she feels is harassing her did it. Either way, the not engaging thing is probably wise. Just sorry it got to this point for her. Hopefully she’ll get it sorted out soon.
