Q&A: Do you know of any tours in the Bridgewater Triangle area?

I got a very nice email from someone who stumbled across Haunts Jaunts. They wanted to know if I knew of any tours of the Bridgewater Triangle area. The nice someone is named Caryn and she would like to take her father on a tour of the area. He’s very interested in the paranormal and she thought that might be something fun for them to do.

What a nice daughter!

I of course looked into it for her. The very first thing I did was hit my friend Jen Blaney up for info. She once wrote a post about the Bridgewater Triangle for Haunt Jaunts and she lives up in that neck of the woods.

Jen wasn’t aware of any tours of the area, but she offered some suggestions about finding ways to experience it that may prove helpful to Caryn and her dad.

  1. She highly recommended checking out Freetown State Forest. She knows a paranormal investigator who lives near there and has hosted investigations there.
  2. She also suggested pinpointing any areas in particular Caryn and her dad were interested in seeing (because the Bridgewater Triangle covers so much area), then checking to see if any paranormal groups hosted events in those places.

I tried to do some of that for Caryn. I found out Freetown State Park had done a paranormal weekend once upon a time. (Perhaps more than once.) I tried to find out more info about it, or if they’ll do it again come Fall/closer to Halloween, but nothing specific pulled up.

East Bridgewater, MA used to do a ghost tour. I found a YouTube video that sort of talks about it, as well as some of the haunts in the area. But it kept freezing up so I couldn’t tell if it went into specific details about the Bridgewater Triangle.

I also posted a message on the Bridgewater Triangle Faceook group asking if anyone knew of any tours, but I never got a response.

I happened to do another FB search and found a Bridgewater Triangle person. No, it’s not really a person. It’s someone who’s studying the Bridgewater Triangle and set up a Facebook page as an individual rather than as a page for some reason. However, they’re working on a documentary near as I can tell. They may be a good contact for anyone interested in gleaning more history of the area or stories. They seem well-studied.

So, sadly, there isn’t exactly a tour for Caryn to take her dad on, but if they wanted to jaunt from town to town within the triangle, that might make for a fun time.

But I also have to mention this: Jen’s affiliated with Fore River Paranormal which conducts a lot of its research aboard the USS Salem. She suggested Caryn and her dad look into coming aboard for a tour there as well. Lots of great history and paranormal activity on the ship. (And glad she reminded me. I would’ve felt bad if I’d forgotten to mention this great haunt!)

  1. That place has always intrigued me. A lot of people have gone missing there, so I’d probably suggest state park pathways.

  2. LMAO! That’s funny! Yeah, um, if you don’t want to go missing, best to perhaps stick to the trails. Love it!
