As the year draws to a close and a new one prepares to begin, Haunt Jaunts is on a mission to improve its Alexa rating. That’s why we’re asking for some help. There’s something our fellow Jaunters can do to make a difference.
Well, there’s a couple of things. We’ll get to that below. But first, let us explain why we’re making this request.
WHY WE’RE ASKING
A few times over the past couple of years, Haunt Jaunts has used a resource called HARO (Help a Reporter Out) to get sources for some of our posts. We hadn’t used it in a while, but a couple of weeks ago we had an idea for a story and wanted to use HARO to gather info for it.
HARO changed one of its policies earlier this year. It only accepts queries from sites with global Alexa ratings of one million or less.
Haunt Jaunts’s global Alexa rating is just over that: 1,034,098.
So, we’re basically on a mission to lower our rating by 35,000 so we can use HARO once again.
HOW YOU CAN HELP IMPROVE HJ’S ALEXA RATING
In addition to continuing to visit our site and share our posts on your favorite social networking sites, there’s something else that would help us improve our Alexa rating too: taking a few moments to review us on Alexa.
To do:
- Click on the “Reviews” tab under the Statistics Summary info for hauntjaunts.net.
- You’ll see a gold “Write a Review” button on the right under all the tabs. Click that.
- Sign in with your Alexa account, if you have one. If you don’t, no worries. You can use your Facebook account to login too.
- Rate us and/or write a review.
We’d of course love five stars and glowing reviews, but that’s not our mission with this request. Our mission is to acquire some more reviews to help with our Alexa rating.
Besides, we’d love to hear what you really think. Critiques are good. They help us improve what we do and know where we need improving. Or what we’re doing right if that’s the case too. (Praise, of course, is always good to hear as well!)
