Friday the 13th or The Shining: Which Is Your Favorite Fashion Statement?

Maybe it should say "Survived Being a Camp Crystal Lake Counselor"?

Over a year ago, Haunt Jaunts signed up for Crazy Dog TShirts‘s affiliate program. The reason I applied was in part because of the shirt I’m modeling above. The Friday the 13th series is one of my faves. (Well, I really only love one through three, but will watch the others.)

At any rate, when I saw Crazy Dog’s Camp Crystal Lake Counselor t-shirt, I had to have it. I thought it was fucking hilarious. (Pardon my French. I try not to cuss on the blog, but I have to make an exception in this case. That is the only way to properly describe my reaction.)

I also had to have their What would Jason do t shirt. I wear it to work out, and definitely to volleyball games. It totally throws people off to see me in it. Which always makes me laugh.

These are only the shirts I’ve added to my collection so far. Crazy Dog has more based on Friday the 13th as well as The Shining that I want, though.

I’ve listed all of Crazy Dog’s Friday the 13th and The Shining shirts below. So, tell me: what is your favorite horror movie fashion statement?

Stay at The Overlook Hotel T-Shirt
(This is the third shirt I absolutely must have.)

They even have an Overlook Hotel hand towel. A souvenir from your stay in which you survived the infamous hotel’s ghosts? (That’s the story I’d concoct to go along with it. Which is exactly what I’ll do when I buy it!)

  1. I’m so excited you won that, Adsila! THX for not only remembering where you won it, but reminding me of it too. (The past Fri the 13th you reminded me since I’d forgotten! 😉

  2. OK, I walk through dark buildings with nothing but a flashlight hoping to see an apparition, get touched, hear something, whatever. I absolutely can not watch a scary movie – hate them. Go figure.

  3. Looking forward to wearing my Camp Crystal Lake T-shirt to work on Friday the 13th next month. I wonder if any of the summer interns will “get it”. When previously worn on a Friday the 13th, my older coworkers didn’t get the joke.

Though I’ve seen them all, and though I love my shirt, never really been a huge fan of horror movie series like Friday the 13th. I am however a fan of Stephen King’s work, so might have to add one of them Overlook Hotel shirts to my collection of Crazy-Dog T’s, which of course, I learned about through Haunt Jaunts. 😉

  4. The older co-workers didn’t get it? Sheesh! Don’t they know their scary movies??? Just kiddin’. I know a lot of people who would not understand the shirt. It’s okay. Helps me weed out cool people from not cool people, you know? LOL! (Like I’m so cool…NOT!)

I also love Stephen King. Or used to. I love vintage King. His early stuff. He can still tell a mean tale, but it’s somehow not the same as those early years…

  5. Actually, I thought I included that in my comment, but I see I didn’t. Yes, totally agreed…I really like King’s earlier stuff. Not been as thrilled with the latest. But of course, The Shining is a classic.

And Courtney, you’re not only cool, you look absolutely adorable in your Camp Crystal Lake shirt! 🙂
