ABOUT AUNT CHARLOTTE BY COURTNEY L. MROCH
Ashley thought her Aunt Charlotte was dead, until one day she shows up followed by ghostly dangers that threaten to destroy her entire family.
I’ve written about my Aunt Pearl here on HJ before, most recently in Looking for the Ghosts of My Ancestors in New Orleans. She’s Aunt Charlotte, come back from her grave, so to speak, running from danger and unintentionally bringing it with her and putting her family at risk.
But in the end it’s her family who saves her. I absolutely LOVE how the narrator breathed life into my story. (Kailey Bell, the narrator, was named Sniplits Narrator of the Year even. She’s a brilliant actress and I was just tickled beyond belief she narrated the story. She did a marvelous job!)
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, as well as obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
