“Your Ad Here” via Project Wonderful – $0-??? (Yes, “$0″ as in free!)
Project Wonderful makes it easy to advertise. You sign up as an advertiser, set the amount you’d like to pay, and then bid on what sites you want your ads to run on. Haunt Jaunts is one of the Project Wonderful publishers you can choose from.
Since we didn’t set a minimum bid for our site’s ad space, it starts at $0 until there are more than one advertisers interested in bidding on our space. Bidding then starts at $.01 –yes a penny*! This makes Project Wonderful a very reasonable way to advertise with us.
*Since it is a bidding process, bid prices vary. They can be as little as $.01 or up to $1 or more. During HJ’s peak season (August – October), bids are often higher than $1.
Direct (non-Project Wonderful) “Your Ad Here” Ads – $15-$75/month
If you don’t have a Project Wonderful account and you don’t want to set one up, no worries! You can always advertise directly through HJ in several places.
“Home Page Top” means your ad will only show on our Main page. It will not be visible if people click through to posts. It appears at the top, above the blog post listings.
“Home Page Bottom” means your ad will also only show on our Main page. It will not be visible if people click through to posts. It appears below the blog post listings.
“Every post” means just that. Your ad will appear at the top of every post. Anytime anyone clicks on a post, they will see your ad at the top.
“Sidebars” refers to both sidebars to the left of blog posts. The size of the ad you choose determines which sidebar your ad will appear in. As with “every post” ads, sidebar ads are visible on the Home Page and also when individual posts are viewed.

Sponsorships
Have a product or service you’d like to promote? Get great publicity and advertising via a custom-designed HJ contest. (Contests are always a big hit with our readers.) We don’t hold back. We use blog posts, featured spots in the sidebar, and our Twitter, Facebook and YouTube accounts to promote contests. That means a lot of free publicity for the cost of your donated service or product.
To give you an idea of how we do things around here, here’s a few examples of past contests:
Newsletter Sponsor – $25/issue
The newsletter is a new feature here at HJ. We launched our first one in November 2011. Because we don’t want to inundate subscribers, we’re only sending newsletters when we have pertinent information to share. That means we may only publish one newsletter per month, if that. There may not be a lot of frequency or repetition for your ad dollars with this medium, but it is a super way to directly reach HJ’s most loyal and active followers.
Note: As subscribers increase, rates are subject to follow suit.

Since you probably want to know what you’re paying for, here’s a breakdown of some of HJ’s numbers.
- From August 2009 until December 2011, HJ has received a total of 258,697 pageviews and has been visited by 154,451 unique visitors.
- From August 2009 to December 2011, visitor demographics are as follow: United States 80.11%, Canada 4.71%, United Kingdom 4.15%, Australia 1.03%. India, Germany, Philippines, Ireland, and Poland also comprise our demographics, with each accounting for less than 1% of total visits.
- As of December 2011, we have 3,495 Twitter followers
- As of December 2011, we have 1,308 Facebook friends.
