There were a lot of factors that went into giving birth to Haunt Jaunts. Like any pregnancy there was an egg and a sperm. But in HJ’s case I think there were actually multiple sperms.

The egg was the basic idea, which first started off as being a book concept, Haunt Jaunts: a travel guide for restless spirits. It’s something I’ve talked about before. (In fact, it’s in my About spiel.)

Getting cancer was one sperm that fertilized the egg. But my previous experience as a blogger was another.

But I was never meant to be a blogger. I was supposed to be a renowned fiction author by now. How did I get sidetracked with blogging? And did I even get sidetracked with blogging?

All I can say is, Lisa Pietsch is responsible for who I am today. She posted a guest blog I wrote for her blog today that explains it all. I definitely credit (not blame) her for helping me find my way jaunting along this haunted path I’ve chosen to take.

If you get a chance, stop by and check it out. (You may be surprised by what else I reveal…)

Well, I for one am so pleased that you let this baby mature and grow into the fine young adult it’s become. Besides, those goals aren’t a straight line. It’s the crooks in the path that make that goal more successful and more appreciated. This diversion might just be honing your skills more.

Things happen for a reason…..I for one am glad that you started blogging.

Seems these days blogs are essential for fiction writers, at least for those trying to make “world renowned” status.

  • Thanks for the comments, girls! One thing’s for sure, it’s nice to have met all the people I have. Maybe world renowned authors don’t get to do that, so…you guys are a nice perk!
